Reporting to a senior member of Citi’s Litigation and Investigations team, the Legal Support Group Manager provides management support to the Litigation and Investigations’ Legal Support Unit (“LSU”), which is comprised of the Legal Services Intake (“LSI”) unit handling the intake of legal process (including court orders, subpoenas, and other legal pleadings) directed to Citi legal entities in the U.S., the Restraining Orders team, the Cards and Mortgages Subpoenas team, and the Retail Bank Subpoenas team. The members of these teams are located in Sioux Falls, SD and San Antonio, TX. The Legal Support Group Manager directly supervises and provides support and guidance to a group of experienced “leads” who, in turn, execute tasks and workflows in support of the LSI, the Cards and Mortgages Subpoenas team, and the Retail Bank Subpoenas team. Job Responsibilities: Provide leadership, management support, and day-to-day guidance to members of the LSU; Devise, monitor, and report on internal risk and controls mechanisms relating to the LSU’s activities; Collaborate with teams within the Legal Department and across Citi to respond to internal requests for information about the LSU’s processes and risks and controls; Prepare reports tracking relevant metrics about productivity and work performed by the LSU; Supervise six senior staff members (“leads”) supporting the LSU’s intake and subpoenas teams; Maintain, track, and update internal process documents utilized by the LSU’s intake, subpoenas, and restraining orders teams; Liaise with internal and external counsel with respect to the handling of non-party discovery requests and other legal process directed to Citi; Communicate with external parties who direct non-party discovery requests and other legal process to Citi. Qualifications: 10+ years of relevant legal operations experience, financial services industry experience, or legal experience; Familiarity with consumer law, consumer litigation, and/or commercial litigation and discovery rules and practices preferred; Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; Team-building skills and experience working with remote teams; Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook). Education: Bachelors/University degree; Juris Doctor degree preferred.
