About the Role

As aĀ Medical Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting providers and ensuring seamless patient care. Your responsibilities will include:

āœ”Ā Rooming patients quickly and efficientlyĀ 

āœ” Performing Electrocardiogram (EKG) procedures and vital sign measurement

āœ” Updating medical records

āœ”Ā Assisting with minor procedures and administering injections

āœ”Ā Supporting patients through their visit, including discharge and follow-ups

āœ”Ā Managing medical supplies and ensuring a clean work environment

Minimum QualificationsĀ 

āœ… High School diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)

āœ… Medical Assisting diploma from an accredited vocational institution or a community college program required

āœ… 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant is requiredĀ 

āœ… Ability to multi-task and provide support to multiple providers

āœ… Strong customer service skills and attention to detail

āœ… BLS certification (or willing to obtain within 30 days of hire)

āœ… Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred

General Physical RequirementsĀ 

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
  • The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, or crouch.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Work Environment:Ā Combination of medical office and exam/procedure room settings.

This position performs tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluids, and/or tissues. All employees performing these duties are offered the opportunity to receive the Hepatitis-B vaccination series.
