The Senior CI Specialist is responsible for leading and executing Continuous Improvement initiatives in alignment with the site strategic plan. The Continuous Improvement Specialist supports the deployment of lean transformation principles by planning, organizing, directing, leading, coaching, and training others in continuous improvement methodology. The role will directly support the implementation, execution, and sustainment of the Baxter Operating System (BOS). The role involves supporting and executing the overall Site Strategic Improvement Plan (SSIP), collaborating with Baxter Continuous Improvement organization to develop strategic site CI initiatives related to the Baxter Operating System, focusing on business performance to eliminate waste, improve customer satisfaction, and increase market share via Lean tools and continuous improvement methodologies. The specialist will facilitate and drive change in a fast-paced environment, act as a key driver of change within the business, support management/cross functional decisions, execute and support conversion & overhead Value Improvement Projects (VIP), be an active member of various CI committees, be responsible for Visual Management implementation and sustainment, provide Lean Tools training, lead and facilitate Kaizen and Value Stream Events, continuously identify ideas for waste elimination, facilitate problem solving and coach team members, promote core Baxter behaviors and values, organize and participate in continuous improvement activities, create project plans, support managers and integrate change within a team environment, coordinate tasks with service providers, coordinate training to support lean methods integration, and lead, develop and standardize analyses regarding KPIs and projects for the site. Requirements include a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science, or related field, 3 years of manufacturing operations experience preferably in Pharmaceuticals, 3 years of knowledge and experience in Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen principles, proficiency in Six Sigma/Lean tools, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, high proficiency in manufacturing systems, ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment, self-driven with analytical mindset, action oriented, team player, detail-oriented, effective time management, problem solving and decision-making skills, proven cross-functional team leader/member, ability to see the whole process in improvements, and must perceive change as an opportunity. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship. The position offers an estimated base salary range of $76,000 - $104,500 annually, with potential eligibility for discretionary bonuses, commission, and/or long-term incentives.
