Projects reporting to the VP of Assets is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing all phases of assigned development projects—from request for proposal to construction and through project closeout. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, in compliance with plans and specifications, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, problem-solver, and leader who can manage multiple stakeholders, anticipate challenges, and keep projects moving efficiently.   Typical projects include manufactured housing developments and major capital projects within communities. Multiple projects run concurrently and across multiple locations/states.   This is a safety sensitive role.   RESPONSIBILITIES: Construction Oversight & Management Oversee daily construction activities to ensure adherence to plans, schedules, safety protocols, and quality expectations. Manage subcontractors, vendors, and on-site personnel; conduct regular site meetings and progress reviews. Resolve field issues promptly and effectively, coordinating with design and engineering teams as necessary. Monitor project milestones, critical paths, and potential delays, implementing corrective actions as needed. Budget & Cost Control Manage project budgets, forecasts, and cash flows. Review and approve invoices, change orders, and subcontractor pay applications. Track costs and variances, ensuring proactive management of overruns and savings opportunities. Communication & Reporting Serve as the primary point of contact between ownership, subcontractors, consultants, and internal teams. Prepare and present regular progress reports, schedules, and financial updates. Ensure thorough documentation of project activities, decisions, and changes. Other responsibilities deemed necessary by supervisor Quality Assurance & Safety Conduct routine quality inspections to ensure workmanship meets specifications. Oversee punch lists, testing, inspections, and final project turnover. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (preferred). 5+ years of experience managing construction or development projects; experience with ground-up and/or multifamily/commercial projects is a plus. Strong understanding of construction means and methods, scheduling, budgeting, and contract administration. Proficiency in project management software (Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam, etc.). Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites as needed.
