This position is an important role within the Finance team and is located in the corporate office. The Manager, Financial Systems will support the administration and ongoing optimization of the Organization's financial systems, including Workday Financials.

The individual in this role will partner closely with Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), and business stakeholders to support system processes, troubleshoot issues, create reports, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong accounting background and an interest in financial systems and technology to develop expertise in Workday and related applications.

The Manager, Financial Systems will receive hands-on exposure to system administration, configuration, reporting, and process improvement while helping support finance operations across the Organization.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Financial Systems Support:

  • Assist with the day-to-day administration and maintenance of Workday Financials.
  • Support system users by responding to questions, troubleshooting issues, and escalating more complex items when needed.
  • Work with IT and system support partners to help resolve technical issues and ensure reliable system performance.
  • Maintain documentation of system processes, procedures, and user guides.
  • Support security administration activities, including user access reviews and role assignments.

User Support & Training:

  • Serve as a point of contact for Finance users requiring assistance with Workday Financials.
  • Provide support for reporting, business processes, and routine system questions.
  • Help develop and maintain training materials and job aids.
  • Assist with onboarding new users and providing periodic system training.
  • Promote effective and consistent use of financial systems across the Organization.

Reporting & Data Analysis:

  • Create and maintain reports, dashboards, and basic data visualizations within Workday.
  • Assist Finance and business teams with reporting requests and data analysis.
  • Help validate data accuracy and investigate discrepancies.
  • Support recurring financial reporting processes and ad hoc analysis.
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency and reduce manual effort.

Process Improvement:

  • Collaborate with Accounting, FP&A, and operational teams to understand business processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist with projects designed to streamline workflows and reduce manual processes.
  • Gather business requirements and help translate them into system solutions.
  • Participate in testing system changes and enhancements.
  • Support the implementation of process improvements and system updates.

System Enhancements & Releases:

  • Monitor system updates and new functionality released by Workday.
  • Assist with testing and validation of new features and configuration changes.
  • Document changes and communicate updates to affected users.
  • Support implementation activities for approved enhancements.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • Required Degree: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Info Systems or related degree.

  • Experience:
    • 2-5 years of accounting, finance, business systems, or related experience
    • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial data analysis.
    • Demonstrated interest in technology, systems, and process improvement.
    • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
    • Ability to learn new systems and manage multiple priorities.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:

  • Working knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and finance operations.
  • Understanding of financial systems, ERP applications, and reporting tools.
  • Familiarity with data management, reporting concepts, and business process workflows.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Ability to learn new technologies and financial systems quickly.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and collaboration skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to develop proficiency in Workday Financials, and related financial systems. 路 Ability to analyze business processes and identify opportunities for efficiency and process improvement.
  • Ability to create reports, interpret data, and communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively while adapting to changing business needs.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • The majority of time is spent in an office setting. The position requires occasional handling of lightweight materials and physical ability to use the telephone, computer and keyboard, printer, and other office equipment.
  • Clarity of Vision:
    • For near visual acuity Clarity of vision at approximately 20 inches or less (i.e., working with small objects or reading small print), including use of computers.
    • For far visual acuity, Clarity of vision at 20 feet or more. This is not just the ability to see a person or object, but the ability to recognize features as well.
    • For peripheral vision, observing an area that can be seen up and down or to right or left while eyes are fixed on a given point.

Compensation Pay Range:

$95,438.00 - $143,156.00 per year

A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this position is $95,438.00 - $143,156.00 per year. There are numerous factors taken into consideration in determining the actual offered rate of pay, including but not limited to: job-related qualifications, experience, skills, education, geographic location, and consideration of internal and external equity.
