The position works as part of a team to coach job seekers on all aspects of job search and assist individuals in building their personal and job skills throughout the time that a job seeker is enrolled with Tri-Parish Works. All Career Specialists utilize professional judgement to determine program eligibility, provide career counseling, intensive job readiness, job search and placement assistance, as well as case management, process training requests, and follow-up services. They will also process training invoices, progress reports, and maintain comprehensive spreadsheets in a timely manner.
