Xylem is seeking a Branch Manager to lead the iconic Flygt Submersible brand — a pioneer in water and wastewater innovation. This role is about more than operations and performance; it’s about driving solutions that help communities move, treat, and protect one of our most vital resources: water.

Responsibilities:

Staff Management: 8 Direct Reports (Service Technicians)

  • Hire, train, and evaluate service technicians

  • Create work schedules and assign tasks to team members

  • Provide guidance and support to team members

  • Address and resolve any employee issues or conflicts


Customer Service:

  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by addressing any concerns or complaints related to service

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers

  • Collaborate with sales team to identify and pursue new service opportunities


Inventory Management:

  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels of service parts and equipment

  • Coordinate with procurement team to order necessary supplies

  • Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and minimize waste


Budgeting and Cost Control:

  • Develop and manage service department budget

  • Identify and implement cost saving measures

  • Monitor expenses and ensure they are within budget guidelines


Quality Control:

  • Establish and maintain quality assurance standards for service department

  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance

  • Implement corrective actions as needed to improve service quality


Safety and Compliance:

  • Ensure service department follows all safety regulations and guidelines

  • Develop and implement safety training for service technicians

  • Stay up-to-date on industry regulations and make necessary adjustments to comply


Reporting and Communication:

  • Prepare and present regular reports on service department performance

  • Communicate regularly with upper management on service operations and any issues or concerns

  • Collaborate with other departments to improve overall company performance.


Team Management:

  • Understand team dynamics and effective management practices. Supervisors should be adept at balancing individual tasks with overseeing team performance.

  • Conflict Resolution: Ability to address conflicts within the team professionally and constructively.

  • Motivational Skills: Inspire and motivate team members to achieve their best.

Adaptability:

  • Supervisors often encounter changing priorities and unexpected challenges. Being adaptable and flexible is crucial.

  • Decision Making: Make informed decisions based on organizational goals and guidelines.


Qualifications:

  • Preferred: bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management

  • Industrial equipment experience

  • In-depth understanding of inventory management principles and practices.

  • Experience with developing and implementing inventory management policies and procedures.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in inventory management software and systems.

Salary: The estimated salary range for this position is $90,000 to $120,000, 15% annual bonus & company vehicle/PAV. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range.  At Xylem we offer a competitive compensation package with a generous benefit package, including Medical, Dental, Vision plans, 401(k) with company contribution, paid time off, paid parental leave and tuition reimbursement.
