Job DetailsJob Location: Smith Center Location - Smith Center, KS 66967Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: Not SpecifiedJob Shift: DayJob Category: ServicePurpose Assist the service managers in maintaining accurate and on-time reports and records relative to the service department’s operation within the dealership.    Responsibilities Fields internal and external customer inquiries to the Service Department  Opens repair orders as directed by the Service Manager/Shop Foreman and maintains control until they are closed and invoiced  Generates repair order previews for the service administrator and service managers  Maintains the service library with current information (for example, files, bulletins, manuals, multi-media, etc.) under the direct supervision of the Service Manager  Maintains Service Department filing and records  Updates customer profiles using equipment, hours, or other information from the customer work orders  Maintains accessories and supplies and prepares replacement orders  May prepare Service Technician efficiency reports  Manages communication between Service Managers and Service Administrator  Maintains special tool inventory lists  May manage attendance reports and make corrections accordingly; submit to HR for payroll  QualificationsExperience, Education, Skills and Knowledge Basic knowledge of accounting practices  Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions  Knowledge of office procedures  General understanding of mechanical/technical terms is preferred  High School Diploma or equivalent experience  Pre-employment drug screening required    Physical Requirements The physical demands described below are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. This role requires the ability to sit or stand for extended periods while working on a computer, with frequent use of technology for typing, data entry, and screen viewing. Regular communication through telephone and email is expected. The position may also involve occasionally assisting with moving items weighing up to 25 pounds, as well as performing repetitive tasks such as typing, handling documents, and moving between departments or office areas.
