Description
To ensure all plant processing and facilities equipment are running at optimum efficiency on a daily basis.
Principal Duties
. Maintain and repair processing equipment.
路 Maintain and repair facilities equipment.
路 Perform preventive maintenance on processing and plant equipment.
路 Electrical troubleshooting.
路 Mechanical troubleshooting.
路 Communicate and document work performed.
路 Perform all other duties as assigned or asked of by management.
Requirements
. High school diploma or equivalent.
路 Prior work experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
路 Excellent aptitude and demonstrated experience in the following trades required:
o Mechanical repair
o Fundamental electrical 24V to 480V troubleshooting repair and installation
o Working knowledge of PLC鈥檚. Servo motors/drives, AC/DC variable speed frequency drives
o Mechanical troubleshooting
o Plumbing/pipefitting
o Welding and fabricating
o Machine tool
o Electrical troubleshooting
o Facilities maintenance
Decisions and Responsibilities
. Must demonstrate Journeyman level competence in all of the above trade skills.
路 Manage and perform projects independently.
路 Mentor Maintenance Mechanic 1 levels.
Technical Requirements
. Experience in repair of high-speed processing and paper converting equipment is preferred.
路 License or certificates in any of the below trades is required:
路 Electrical installations, troubleshooting and repair 24V-480V
路 Mechanical troubleshooting and repair
路 Welding and fabrication
路 Pneumatic troubleshooting and repair
路 Machine tools
路 Plumbing and pipefitting
路 Facilities repair
Physical Requirements / Working Conditions
. Will be required lift to 10 pounds; may be required to lift up to approximately 50 pounds.
路 Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
路 Talk and hear over loud volumes.
路 Must be able to frequently stand, walk and sit.
路 Required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch and/or crawl.
路 Must be able to work in a noisy and dusty manufacturing environment.
路 Must be able to travel throughout the facility to obtain information needed to perform job functions.
路 Must be able to withstand both hot and cold atmosphere depending on weather conditions.
