Catholic Health’s St Catherine of Siena Nursing & Rehabilitation have served the residents of the Smithtown area for more than 50 years. St. Catherine is located in the heart of Long Island, Smithtown. The Long Term care facility is a 240 bed facility. Our nurses, physicians and support staff are devoted to providing advanced health care in an environment of compassion to our employees, patients, residents, their families and our community. DUTIES: Directs, engages in, and is responsible for the preparation and serving of food as specified for patients and special functions. Sets up, breaks down, and restocks work area. Coordinates work schedule with meal schedule.

QUALIFICATIONS: High school graduate or GED equivalency required. 90 hour course or equivalent education preferred. 2 years institution or quantity cooking experience required.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to stand on feet for long periods of time as well as work over hot stove/ovens. Must be able to lift heavy pots and equipment of 50 to 130 lbs.
