This position manages the HR Recruiter (responsible for sourcing and initial candidate processing) and ensures that the hiring process runs smoothly from interview to placement. The HR Lead reviews daily operational needs in WinTeam, collaborates with Client Managers on open shifts, and coordinates the recruitment pipeline accordingly. This role also conducts interviews, finalizes hires through Paycom, and ensures new employees are fully integrated into schedules and compliant with company policies. This position requires exceptional organizational, communication, and leadership skills, with a focus on operational efficiency and quality service delivery. This is a 40 hour a week position working at 19 Bellemeade Avenue, Smithtown NY 11787. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Recruitment & Hiring Oversight Oversee the HR Recruiter to ensure sourcing efforts align with operational and client needs. Review WinTeam daily to monitor staffing levels, open shifts, and coverage needs. Confer with Client Managers to identify and prioritize open positions. Submit new hire requests to the Recruiter based on staffing gaps and client requirements. Conduct interviews with pre-screened candidates and evaluate suitability for hire. Finalize hiring decisions, initiate onboarding in Paycom, and ensure all compliance requirements are met. Review and verify the accuracy of all hiring documentation and employment information prior to finalizing the onboarding process Ensure each new hire is added to WinTeam and assigned to the appropriate schedule. Onboarding & Compliance Oversee background checks, licensing documentation, and I-9/E-Verify completion (via Recruiter support). Ensure all guard credentials (licenses, permits, IDs, etc.) are uploaded and verified in Paycom. Provide post-hire follow-up to confirm proper scheduling, post order assignment, and site readiness. Collaborate with Compliance to ensure licensing and regulatory adherence across all hires. Scheduling & Operations Support Monitor daily open shift reports and communicate with Client Managers to resolve coverage issues. Coordinate with Operations to ensure new hires are plugged into the master schedule immediately upon onboarding completion. Verify that Client Managers and Operations staff have updated schedules and post orders for each new hire. Leadership & Coordination Serve as the main liaison between HR, Operations, and Client Managers regarding staffing. Provide daily oversight of the HR Recruiter’s sourcing and pre-screening tasks. Report weekly hiring, onboarding, and staffing progress to the HR Manager and Director of Operations. Key Attributes Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Commitment to compliance, confidentiality, and professional standards. QualificationsQualifications 2–4 years of HR, operations, or recruiting experience in security, staffing, or related industries. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, or a related field required. Strong knowledge of HRIS systems (Paycom preferred) and workforce scheduling systems (WinTeam preferred). Proven experience in interviewing, onboarding, and operational staffing coordination. High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail. Supervises maintenance of enrollment, application, and claims records for benefit plans. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variable in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Maintains a valid Driver's License.
