We're seeking a compassionate, motivated professional to join our team as a Residential Shift Supervisor at our 31-bed Intermediate Care Facility in Commack. You'll play a critical role in supporting both residents and staff by coordinating daily activities, maintaining quality standards, and fostering a positive, team-oriented environment. What You'll Do Lead and Support Staff Supervise and guide Direct Care Staff during assigned shifts Assign staff responsibilities and daily activities based on individual needs and program requirements Adjust schedules and assignments to ensure appropriate coverage and quality care Mentor staff and promote a positive, professional work environment Maintain attendance, performance, training, and personnel records Support Individuals Served Help ensure high-quality care and therapeutic interactions Encourage independence in daily living activities, recreation, and community involvement Promote dignity, respect, and person-centered supports Maintain Quality and Compliance Ensure cleanliness, organization, and safety throughout the residence Conduct and document fire drills and evacuation procedures Assist with implementing agency policies and regulatory requirements Support a culture of safety, accountability, and excellence Qualifications Required High School Diploma or GED Two (2) years of experience supporting children or adults with developmental and/or physical disabilities Valid New York State Driver's License + 1 year licensed driving experience Management experience is preferred but not required.
