Radiology Technologist

Responsibilities:

• Under the general supervision of a radiologist and/or appropriate physician, performs radiographic procedures.
• Operates x-ray equipment, fixed or mobile, develops film,
• Prepares x-ray room, equipment, supplies and medications.
• Provides patient services using imaging modalities.

Requirements:

• Graduate from a program approved by N.Y.S. Dept. of Health, with all associated clinical hours
• Must be licensed/registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
• Must have current licensure to practice in N.Y.S. Minimum of 1 year of experience preferred.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must have good working knowledge of radiographic anatomy, radiation physics, and film chemistry. Must have a good working knowledge of anatomic postures for the positioning of patients to obtain optimal diagnosis.
