Description

  • Set up and operate brake press machines to produce parts according to specifications
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and job orders to determine appropriate machine settings
  • Adjust machine settings to ensure accuracy and quality of parts
  • Inspect parts to ensure they meet quality standards
  • Troubleshoot issues with the machine and perform regular maintenance as needed
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure production deadlines are met
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Use various measuring, locating, and testing tools
  • Maximize throughput while minimizing scrap and material losses
  • Willing to cross-train in other areas when necessary to meet changing customer demand
  • Follow all safety procedures, support a culture of a safe and healthy workplace
  • Maintain proper housekeeping of work center

Requirements

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Previous experience as a Brake Press Operator

- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and job orders

- Knowledge of brake press machine operations and maintenance

- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately with measurements

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines

- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with others

- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes
