General Purpose:
Directly supervise and monitor assembly line operators, processes, material needs, and production output for a given assembly line and ensure that GLOCK products are assembled according to company procedures and productivity goals as well as internal and external quality specifications.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and direct personnel, productivity, and output for his/her assembly line.
- Address complaints and resolve minor personnel issues.
- Assist with training personnel and verifying that processes are being performed correctly and as instructed.
- Ensure any mistakes are corrected through accountability of personnel.
- Provide recommendations and record data for personnel discipline and reward.

Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):Â
- Provide direct supervision and oversight, logistical support, training, and leadership to an assembly line to ensure that efficient production flow is achieved while maximizing quality and enforcing internal standard working practices.
- Drive quality and productivity with team members on his/her respective assembly line by motivating, influencing, inspecting product, and efficiently setting up the production line for each order.
- Ensures personnel are conducting assembly processes according to the instruction of the Assembly Trainer and in accordance with ISO procedures and guidelines. Â Â Â Â Â Â Â
- Ensure that all associated documentation is correct, including parts discrepancies, non-conforming products, production quantities, inventory specifications, and personnel records.
- Perform routine and consistent visual parts and procedural inspections to ensure working instructions are being followed, component accuracy, and to correct any identified issues.
- Coordinate with the Assembly Trainer to ensure each assembler is properly trained on procedures and visual/functional inspections.
- Coordinate and proactively communicate with Quality Control Inspectors to identify and segregate non-conforming parts and products from the assembly line and ensure that all necessary documentation and details are appropriately transferred.
- Utilize inventory management system to electronically book each production order upon completion of the assembly process.
- Communicate with the Assembly Supervisor and/or other Assembly Team Leads and support necessary information exchange between shifts of potential issues that could affect product quality and/or safety.
- Report hourly and daily assembly output to the Assembly Supervisor at the end of each shift along with any defects or issues that arise.
- Must have a flexible work schedule, be present in regular attendance, arrive at least 15 minutes prior to shift start and remain until all end of shift procedures are completed.
- Setup the assembly line for production orders with correct gauges/tools, small parts, slides, barrels, and frames while verifying that assembly line equipment is in proper operating condition.
- Restock small parts on the assembly line as needed with correct components from the parts wall and properly document any discrepancies.
- Continuously monitor and adjust equipment such as frame pin presses, grease machines, and rear sight presses at the beginning and as needed throughout the production process.
- Maintain knowledge of QC standards, requirements, and procedures to ensure proper disposition of nonconforming parts.
- Assist assembly lines to fill in operator absences and facilitate the achievement of the required daily, weekly, and monthly production goals.
- Supports all LEAN activities in the assembly area, especially the sustainable execution and implementation of 5S principles (order and cleanliness) and continuous process improvement (stable processes) based on KAIZEN principles to achieve highest quality standards.
- Ensures compliance with legal- and company ordinances in his/her areas of responsibility.
- Ensures compliance with ISO-, OSHA- and Environmental Protection regulatory and ensures highest safety standards in his/her area of responsibility.
- Keeps his/her standard of knowledge up to date in his/her area of responsibility through continuing education measures.
- Exercise good judgment/discretion.
- Must pay close attention to details and report any non-standard findings to his/her management team.
- Needs to be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willing and open minded to learn and adapt new procedural methods to improve production quality and efficiency.
- Maintain a high level of safety and cleanliness in the Assembly area.

The employee is required to use both gross and fine manipulation of fingers and hands to assemble products. The employee is regularly required to reach overhead as well as at or below the shoulder level. The employee is regularly required to lift and move boxes with an average weight of 40 lbs. but a maximum weight of 50 lbs. The employee is regularly required to push a cart with an average weight of 260 lbs and totes weighing up to 180 pounds will need to be maneuvered with the assist of a lift. The ability to clearly articulate verbal and written instructions to provide and direct knowledge and understanding of procedures, processes, and plans is required. The utilization of pallet lifts and pallet jacks is required. Basic keyboarding and controller manipulation, along with speaking in person and on the phone is required. Personal safety protective equipment and ability to communicate and understand instructions is required.

Work Environment:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the work environment primarily requires the employee to occasionally be exposed to filtered humidity and temperature controlled air between 65ºF and 80ºF and sometimes outside weather conditions, which can include sunshine, rain, sleet and snow, high or low temperature and humidity. Standing and walking back and forth from the area of operation to warehouses and other buildings/parking lots may be required. The employee is regularly required to work in a production environment and work regularly scheduled shifts within our hours of operation and may be asked to work overtime and weekends when needed for special programs or events. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles. Work involves minute exposure to unusual elements, such as dirt, dust, fumes, smoke and unpleasant odors. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to occasionally loud.
