We are seeking a CDL A Delivery Driver/General Warehouse driver for 1st shift at our Ideal Tridon Smyrna, TN plant. Â
Job Summary:
Operate commercial motor vehicles safely and efficiently to transport goods in compliance with DOT, FMCSA, and company regulations. Â This position will serve as both a full-time and back-up driver. General Warehouse duties required when not driving.
Work Schedule: Monday-FridayÂ
Shift: 1st Shift 7:00am - 3:00pm
Hourly Rate: $22.00 - $26.00Â
 Duties & Responsibilities:
- Operate commercial vehicles in a safe and lawful manner
- Perform required pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections
- Transport freight according to assigned routes and schedules
- Maintain accurate driver logs and required documentation (ELD, delivery paperwork)
- Secure loads properly and ensure cargo integrity
- Report vehicle defects, accidents, violations, and delays promptly
- Communicate with dispatch and supervisors as required
- Comply with all company policies, safety standards, and federal/state regulations
- Perform loading and unloading duties as required.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Safe lifting and moving of heavy objects using proper techniques.
- Required to drive and pick-up materials and deliver materials to outside processes within TN.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing inventory.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing
- Maintain the equipment to the highest standard and report issues immediately.
- Basic computer proficiency for data entry and inventory tracking.
Qualifications:
- Valid Tennessee CDL (Class A required)
- Current DOT Medical Certificate
- Acceptable driving record per company standards
- Ability to pass DOT drug and alcohol testing
- Knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations
- Possess a minimum of one year Forklift Experience
- Ability to meet physical requirements of the role
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time
- Ability to enter and exit the vehicle multiple times per shift
- Ability to lift up to [specified weight]
- Ability to safely operate all vehicle controls
