General Purpose:
Assist the Production Range Supervisor with the instruction, coordination, and training of Test Fire Operators. Test fire GLOCK production pistols and perform Production Range operational activities according to the work instructions, standard work and SOP.
Shift(s) Available:
- 2nd shift (2:00 PM to 10:00 PM), Monday through Friday
Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):
- Test fire GLOCK production pistols according to the work instructions and productivity goals as well as internal quality specifications.
- Maintain the standards of the Range Supervisor, while he/she is not present.
- Responsible for the training of new Test Fire Operators according to ISO work instructions, as well as any needed or required re-training of existing Test Fire Operators.
- Assist with calibrations and pre-testing at the start of every Production Order.
- Sustain a high knowledge of Range Procedures and Glock production firearms.
- Must have extensive knowledge about the safe handling of firearms.
- Maintain the highest level of safety and cleanliness in and around the production range and assembly area.
- Act as the Primary Coordinator with the Assembly Line Leads and Inventory control Specialist throughout the shift and at shift change to ensure that all qualified production firearms are test fired in a timely manner and in accordance with all the Company’s safety and test fire procedures.
- Maintain organization and prioritization in the Loading Room in order to ensure efficiency in product flow and utilization.
- Ensure that all documentation and products are correct before leaving the Production Range.
- Report defective parts/equipment or questionable conditions to the Department Supervisor and Range Master.
- Maintain knowledge of QC requirements and procedures to ensure proper disposition of nonconforming parts.
- Ensure proper data acquisition of production range equipment and all products tested.
- Supports all LEAN activities in the Production Range and Loading Room, especially the sustainable execution and implementation of 5S principles (order and cleanliness) and continuous process improvement (stable processes) based on KAIZEN principles to achieve highest quality standards.
- Must be present in regular attendance and have a flexible work schedule.
- Ensures compliance with legal- and company ordinances in his/her areas of responsibility.
- Ensures compliance to ISO-, OSHA- and Environmental Protection regulatory and ensures highest safety standards in his/her area of responsibility.
- Keeps his/her standard of knowledge up to date in his/her area of responsibility through continuing education measures.

| 1-2 years related experience |

| GLOCK Armorer Certificate |
| NRA Certification |
Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to regularly use hands to install parts, clean, and test fire pistols. The employee is also required to regularly lift and carry boxes up to 30 pounds. Personal safety protective equipment is required.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions. Work involves moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as dirt, dust, fumes, smoke and unpleasant odors. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to occasionally loud. While performing job duties, the employee is exposed to lead in a controlled and monitored environment.
