Job DetailsJob Location: LVC Smyrna, TN - Smyrna, TN 37167Loden Vision Centers is a growing private practice with a luxury optical boutique. We are seeking a Bilingual Optician that is an ambitious, motivated, sales-oriented individual with exceptional customer service skills to join our Optical team at our location in Smyrna, TN! HOURS: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm or until the last patient leaves. Some travel to other locations may be required. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for interpreting prescriptions written by Optometrists and Ophthalmologists Conducting patient visual needs assessments Recommending frames and lenses Calculates insurance co-pays based on insurance eligibility Prepare work orders for the optical lab Verify, dispense, and adjusts eyeglasses Create and maintain displays of optical merchandise Maintain inventory within the optical department Demonstrate outstanding customer service and leadership in optical Learn the policies and procedures necessary for opening, closing, and operating the optical department Job Type: Full-time Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Employee assistance program Employee discount Flexible spending account Health insurance Health savings account Life insurance Paid time off Referral program Free pair of frames with lenses once per year Schedule: 8 hour shift Monday to Friday No nights No weekends Supplemental pay types: Commission pay Work Location: In person; Smyrna, TN Pay: Generous hourly pay + commissions QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS: High School diploma or equivalent required Bilingual (Spanish) required 2+ years of experience in customer service required 1+ year of sales experience strongly preferred Demonstrated computer literacy, proficient with practice’s EMR Wide-ranging knowledge applicable to eye care and current trends in eyewear Extensive experience and understanding of all aspects related to operations of a modern optical dispensary Working knowledge of inventory management, eyewear sales, and basic financial management Ability to motivate and train professional staff Deliver exceptional customer service skills Able to work calmly in a fast-paced environment with a strong emphasis on quality and accuracy Knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA statutes/regulations, and policies/procedures Loden Vision Centers is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
