What You'll Do

As a Radiologic Technology Instructor, you will:

  • Teach radiologic technology courses following established curriculum and course objectives.
  • Deliver engaging instruction in classroom, laboratory, and clinical environments.
  • Foster student success through coaching, mentoring, and academic support.
  • Create interactive learning experiences that encourage critical thinking and active participation.
  • Evaluate student performance and learning outcomes while providing timely feedback.
  • Supervise and support students at assigned clinical sites.
  • Collaborate with fellow faculty to enhance curriculum and strengthen the program.
  • Assist with curriculum updates, course development, and instructional materials.
  • Participate in accreditation activities, program assessment, advisory committee meetings, and campus committees.
  • Maintain current knowledge of radiologic technology practices through ongoing professional development.
  • Incorporate innovative instructional technologies and best teaching practices into the learning experience.

Evening and/or weekend classes may be required based on program needs.

 

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or a closely related field (equivalent education and experience may be considered).
  • Current certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to student success and creating an inclusive learning environment.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master degree.
  • Previous teaching experience in higher education or a postsecondary healthcare program.
  • Experience using Radiology Information Systems (RIS), PACS, Epic, or similar healthcare technologies.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and healthcare documentation standards.
  • Advanced ARRT certifications such as CT, MRI, Mammography, Bone Densitometry (DEXA), Interventional Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, Radiation Therapy, or Ultrasound.
  • Experience developing, assessing, and improving student learning outcomes.
  • Familiarity with innovative instructional technology, simulation, augmented reality, or virtual learning tools.
