What you'll do:

Troubleshoot, diagnose, maintain, and repair HVAC and refrigeration equipment, including rooftop units and air handlers.
Conduct inspections and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local HVACR regulations and safety standards.
Manage refrigerant levels, parts inventory, and order necessary supplies to support maintenance and repair activities.
Compile and report budget information, review invoices, and develop scopes of work for HVACR projects.
Collaborate with management, coworkers, and external service providers to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Complete required documentation such as work orders, refrigerant logs, and expense vouchers.
Provide expert guidance on HVACR best practices and support continuous improvement initiatives.

What you'll bring:

HVAC certification and EPA 608 Technician Certification demonstrating technical proficiency.
Proven experience in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining HVAC and refrigeration equipment, including rooftop units and air handlers.
Knowledge of HVAC controls, refrigerants, and equipment inspection to ensure operational efficiency and compliance.
Ability to manage refrigerant levels, parts inventory, and maintain accurate documentation such as refrigerant logs and work orders.
Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with management, coworkers, and external service providers.
Commitment to adhering to federal, state, and local HVACR regulations and safety standards.

The hourly wage range for this position is $23.00 - $45.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications...

Minimum Qualifications: Vocational or Technical Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration (HVAC/R) certification and 2 years experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls OR 4 years experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls or related field. Type I/Type II Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Certification for Refrigerant handling.
