JOB SUMMARY
Exciting opportunity to work at Ocean Downs Casino only 10 minutes from the beautiful beaches and boardwalk of Ocean City, MD! Have fun in the sun while pursuing an exciting career in the casino industry. Work with an awesome overnight team while ensuring a good time for our guests. Â This is a full time, year around position with an excellent compensation package. This includes medical, paid sick time, paid vacation time, paid personal time, holiday pay and 401k options. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Creates and ensures a fun-filled, entertaining and exciting environment where the flawless delivery and execution of service excellence is paramount.
Prepares food as directed by the Chef or Sous Chef to the specifications of recipes and standards.
Fully versed in fast food and short order cooking methods; able to multitask.
Able to perform related duties in short order outlets.
Able to perform food prep work, i.e., chopping, dicing, slicing.
Ensures that the working area is clean and sanitary in accordance with Local, State and Federal Health Department codes.
Promotes outstanding customer relations.
Promotes honesty and trust among the team.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
One (1) to Two (2) years related experience.
Ability to read, write, speak, understand or communicate in English sufficiently to perform the necessary functions of this position.
Ability to consistently comprehend, retain and execute written, verbal and demonstrated directions, explanations and guidance.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment and effectively communicate with guests, co-workers and management
Must be able to obtain and keep a License issued by the Maryland State Lottery Agency required of all Gaming establishment employees.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred.Â
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS
Must be able to lift twenty (20) pounds without difficulty, repeatedly.
Must be able to sit, walk or stand for extended periods of time without difficulty.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule based on business needs which includes days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
