Job DetailsJob Location: Socorro, NM 87801Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: High SchoolTravel Percentage: Up to 50% Job Shift: AnyJob Category: GovernmentMayvin, in partnership with Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the New Mexico Tech Institute of Mining and Technology (NMTIMT) in partnership with the National Domestic Preparedness Consortium (NDPC), is seeking Drone Assessment and Response Tactics (DART) SMEs and Instructors to join the team and deliver cutting edge training to first responders and emergency personnel.  Instruction is delivered through a blend of classroom, hands-on exercises and field demonstrations at NMTIMT’s Energetic Materials Research and Testing Center (EMRTC) in Socorro, NM or at a local, state, or tribal emergency responder unit locations.   Must be a U.S. Citizen. Must be able to undergo and pass a background investigation. Travel is required to support resident and mobile course offering(s)   Responsibilities: The candidate must be a drone subject matter expert and capable of providing instruction across a wide area of UAS, Counter-UAS technologies and threats Able to conduct research and identify resources relevant to DART training, threat mitigation, as well as counter technologies and strategies Proficient with and able to instruct on real world topics such as: Detection strategies Identification methods Threat assessment Practical response techniques Review course materials to ensure conformance with US law, regulations and compliance with FAA, DOW, DHS, and FBI Participate in curriculum development and updates based on lessons learned and NMIMT and FEMA NTED standards Maintain and comply with FAA Part 107 and NMIMT Instructor Certification Program requirements throughout the duration of assignment Required Qualifications: Minimum 3 years of First Responder drone flight experience, required Possess substantial subject matter expertise in Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) assessment, tactics, response operations, and counter-UAS detection equipment Law Enforcement (current or previous) experience Experience as a classroom instructor Remote Pilot Certificate with a small UAS rating, under FAA Part 107 Possess a high degree of organization and verbal and written communication skills and technical software skills   About Mayvin Mayvin is more than a workplace—it’s a community built on innovation, ingenuity, and impact.  Enjoy outstanding benefits and amenities, a truly supportive work environment, and continuous opportunities for professional growth.
