Quality Control Inspector - Metal - $22/hr

Daytime work schedule, located 25 minutes east of Rochester NY.
Pay Rate is $20-$22/hr depending on experience.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Inspection of fabricated sheet metal and machined parts (First Article, in process, and final inspection stage)
• Weld visual inspection
• Inspection of purchased materials
• Recording of data in accordance with Quality System requirements
• Resolution of production issues
• Calibration of hand measurement devices
• Use of verniers, micrometers, thread gages, height gages, optical comparators, and coordinate measuring machines, laser scanner
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications
• Knowledge of GD&T, statistics, sampling, gauging methods, & process control
• Tasks will include counting, lifting and moving of material

Required Qualifications:

• The candidate should have a minimum of 5+ years of Quality Control Inspection
• The candidate should be familiar with MIL specifications
• Ability to read mechanical drawings
• Adept with Microsoft Word & Excel
