Assistant Teacher (Afternoons Only)

New Hope, PA | Part Time, Hourly; Monday-Friday 3:00pm-6:00pm | $15.50-$22.00 per hour

What is needed for this job

Are 21+ and have 2+ years of experience working with children in a professional, volunteer, or familial capacity
High school diploma
Associate/Bachelor degree or college credits from an accredited college or university in childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or the human services field preferred
Passionate about working with children in a fun, diverse environment
Ability to pass all relevant clearances

The responsibilities we will trust you with:

Finding new and engaging ways to help kids learn
Being patient and kind with our parents
Cultivating and fostering a safe and nurturing environment that will encourage physical, emotional, and intellectual growth of children in the program
Adjusting curriculum to ensure that all children meet the learning objectives
Utilizing state and YMCA guidelines to ensure the safety and well being of the children
