About You

We are seeking someone who is service driven to prepare and cook meals for our clients. Keep our kitchen clean and welcoming for our clients.

You will need:

• To be ServSafe certified or receive certification within 90 days

• Vaccination against COVID-19 – CA

• Experience working in a fast paced kitchen environment – Required

• To be able to stand for 7.5 hours.

• Can work in temperatures of 90 plus degrees during the warmer months

• To Be able to lift 50 pounds.

• Great attitude – required

• Works well with others.

• Experience working in behavioral health or in residential care - preferred

Your Responsibilities

Your role as a Cook is to serve Residents of our therapeutic communities delicious and well plated meals. In this role, you will maintain a clean kitchen and dining room and proudly adhere to all sanitation and safety rules. You will also participate in food preparation and portioning prior to service by cutting and cleaning a variety of fruit, vegetables, and protein using a knife and/or cutting machines. Produces foods for breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks and events.

• Individually prepare breakfast, lunch and or dinner for up to 80 clients (depending on schedule)

• Individually clean dishes for breakfast , lunch and/or dinner (depending on schedule)

• Providing excellent customer service and pride in work

• Following recipes and diet restrictions

• Maintain inventory of supplies and following first in first out guidelines on supplies

• Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment at all times

• Follow infection control procedures and ensure that others handling food are also following these procedures

• Safe handling and maintenance of all kitchen equipment

• Providing restaurant quality food and plating at all meals

• Working collaboratively with a small team to excel in the provision of high quality meals to our clients

• Follow healthy portions guidelines within the recommended daily allowance for food consumption.

• Follow all recipes and guidelines while meeting deadlines.

• Maintain a clean and organized work environment

• Maintain kitchen equipment in clean and working order

• Follow proper rotation and storage of goods such as proper labeling, stocking of ingredients and FIFO.

The pay range assigned to this role is based on the geographic location from which the role is performed. Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements.




Tues-Thurs 6am to 230pm
and
Fri-Sat 11am to 730pm
