Join nVent in a highly visible Staff Applications Engineering role supporting ERICO and ERIFLEX products used across industrial, energy, and infrastructure projects. Based in Solon, OH, you’ll collaborate across functions and work directly with customers—from design through installation—while contributing to new product development and industry standards. This hybrid role offers both technical challenge and broad exposure across the business.

**This is a hybrid role and you will work 4 days/week on-site in Solon, OH.**

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS ROLE:

  • Serve as an expert on product development, electrical product manufacturing processes, compliance, and end-use applications.
  • Promote Facility Electrical Protection and proper use of nVent ERICO products through customer site visits.
  • Deliver market intelligence and VOC insights to multi-functional project teams through interactions with customers.
  • Provide technical expertise to specifying engineers and adapt systems to customer specifications.
  • Manage engineering projects for new products, enhancements, cost reduction, consolidation, and line extensions.
  • Drive digital transformation by developing design, quoting, and inspection tools.
  • Ensure technical accuracy in training materials, installation guides, manuals, and LMS content.
  • Represent nVent on industry codes and standards committees.
  • Assist customers with selecting and applying ERICO and ERIFLEX products.
  • Support initiatives in E-mobility, Energy Storage, and Renewable Energy.

YOU HAVE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related Engineering degree from an accredited program required.
  • Ideally 10+ years of proven experience in a related engineering field.
  • Experience relating to electrical power systems, electrical connectors or other electromechanical products – ideally, low voltage power systems.
  • Able to manage various projects in fast-paced, self-directed environments, and communicate effectively—both in-person and virtually.
  • Both awareness of electrical design and safety standards (IEEE, ANSI, IEC, UL) and hands-on experience with electrical laboratory equipment.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% for customer support and off-site testing, as needed.
