We are actively hiring for the position of Shift Supervisor for our plant in Solon, OH. 
SHIFT - 1st Shift, Monday to Friday, 5:45 AM to 2:15 PM.


The Shift Supervisor is responsible for leading and directing assigned manufacturing personnel during their designated shift to ensure safe, efficient, and quality production operations. This role oversees daily workflow execution, enforces company policies and safety standards, monitors performance metrics, and ensures production targets are achieved while fostering a positive and accountable work environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Strong supervision skills: labor scheduling, performance management, coaching, and conflict resolution
  • Will be responsible for leading team huddles daily before shift starts
  • Must be able to review/manage attendance daily along with their shift schedules, PTO calendar, etc.
  • Manage inter-facility tasks and/or concerns and process resolutions when required. 
  • Strong understanding of production planning, scheduling, and workflow optimization.
  • Produce job tickets and process specifications for completion.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to support operational and business needs
     

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of offset & digital printing processes and equipment
  • At least 3 years' experience in a leadership/supervisory/production scheduling position, preferably in a manufacturing setting.  
  • Preferred experience using Management Information Systems and other production management software.  
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
  • Lean manufacturing and/or continuous improvement exposure (e.g., 5S, Kaizen)
  • Preferred knowledge in safety procedures, OSHA regulations, etc.  
  • Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Availability to work rotating shifts and/or other shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed
  • Data-driven mindset: ability to collect, analyze, and act on production metrics
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to motivate and develop frontline teams
  • Effective communication across shifts, with operators, maintenance, and quality
  • Results-driven mindset to meet deadlines and specifications
  • Change management aptitude for new processes or equipment
  • Printing/Packaging Industry certifications prefferred

Working conditions

  • Warehouse light manufacturing environment.
  • Temperature may vary.  Suggested appropriate clothing for individual comfort.
  • Noise level higher than normal.

Physical requirements

  • Ability to see, hear, and communicate effectively in a manufacturing environment to support safe and efficient production operations.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds as required.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, up to 8 hours per shift
  • Ability to walk and move throughout the production area for approximately 50% of the workday.
