Job Description

As a Security Officer Security Screening in Somerset, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As a Screener with Allied Universal, you will help support a busy logistics location by screening visitors, monitoring access points, and reporting security-related concerns with professionalism and care. Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access protocols, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics location.
• Screen associates, visitors, contractors, and/or deliveries entering or exiting the location, including verifying credentials, checking approvals, and documenting activity as required.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around entry points, screening areas, and the perimeter, with work environments and conditions that may vary by location.
• Monitor cameras, communication systems, and screening equipment, and help to deter unauthorized access, policy violations, and/or other security-related issues.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
