The Communications Technician operates a centralized telephone switchboard; placing, receiving, and routing a high volume of calls. Â Operates two-way communication equipment, paging system, and public address system as needed. Â Announces emergency codes and coordinates the response to codes among different on-site departments and off-site emergency responders. Â Enters employee and vehicle information into the computer and issues vehicle parking stickers. Â Greets, directs, and ensures completion of paperwork regarding sign-in/sign-out procedures for guests and visitors.
Requirements:
•   Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
•   Experience with multi-line telephone systems
•   High School Diploma or GED
•   Must be able to meet criminal background and drug screening standards
