Manager, Accounting

This position is responsible for the oversight of several functional areas such as: Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Financial Reporting. The position interacts with various departments throughout the company to resolve payable and receivable issues as well as reporting financial results and general ledger activity. Responsibilities include supervising and directing the month end close process, consolidation of global results, and month end reporting to Sysco Corporation in a timely manner, responsible for the recruiting, training, and performance management and development of finance associates, completing monthly close duties and schedules in a timely manner, interacting with Accountants, and finance leads in terms of monthly close activities, including journal entries, monthly schedules, and reconciliation work, making recommendations to management to improve profitability, being the lead contact with Auditors, recognized leader on researching technical / complex accounting issues and implementing new standards, enhancing financial reporting efficiency while partnering with finance and operation stakeholders, leading SOX compliance and evaluation of internal controls, and identifying opportunities to control costs and reduce expenses.
