The Dumoulin Operator is a skilled technical operator responsible for the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of the Dumoulin production system and associated packaging equipment within the PIM manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for maintaining equipment performance, ensuring product quality, supporting production goals, and executing equipment cleanings and changeovers while minimizing downtime and maximizing Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).  The Dumolin Operator serves as the primary equipment owner for the machine center and is expected to demonstrate advanced technical proficiency in equipment operation, troubleshooting, setup, adjustment, cleaning, and changeover execution. In addition to operating the equipment, this role functions as the designated Line Leader for all inline packaging systems, coordinating personnel, workflow, and operational activities to ensure safe, productive, and efficient line performance.  The position works closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, Warehouse, and Continuous Improvement teams to drive operational excellence, improve equipment reliability, reduce waste, and support continuous improvement initiatives.    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  Equipment Operation  Operate the Dumolin and associated inline packaging equipment in accordance with established operating procedures, GMP requirements, safety standards, and production schedules.  Monitor equipment performance to ensure production targets, throughput expectations, and quality specifications are achieved.  Start up, operate, adjust, and shut down equipment safely and efficiently.  Monitor machine controls, HMI systems, sensors, alarms, and operating parameters throughout production.  Perform routine equipment adjustments to maintain optimal operating conditions.  Respond to equipment faults, product flow interruptions, and operational issues in a timely manner.  Minimize downtime by identifying and resolving routine operational concerns.  Verify proper materials, packaging components, labels, and production documentation prior to startup.  Ensure product integrity and package quality throughout the production process.  Maintain continuous awareness of equipment condition, production status, and operational priorities.  Quality Ownership  Maintain focus on product quality and compliance during all production activities.  Perform required in-process quality checks and inspections.  Verify packaging appearance, coding, labeling, seal integrity, and product presentation meet established specifications.  Identify, contain, and report non-conforming products and quality concerns.  Support quality investigations, deviations, and corrective action activities as required.  Ensure batch records and production documentation are accurate, complete, and compliant.  Maintain product traceability throughout all production runs.  Promote a "right first time" quality culture within line operations.  Changeover Responsibilities  Independently perform equipment changeovers on the Dumolin machine and associated line equipment.  Remove, install, and verify change parts, guides, tooling, and machine components required for product transitions.  Adjust machine settings, recipes, and operational parameters to support product-specific requirements.  Conduct line clearance activities in accordance with GMP and quality requirements.  Verify correct materials, components, and documentation are available prior to startup.  Perform startup verification checks following completion of changeovers.  Troubleshoot and resolve startup issues to achieve target operating conditions.  Complete all required changeover documentation accurately and timely.  Support efforts to reduce changeover duration and improve equipment availability.  Equipment Cleaning and Line Sanitation  Perform scheduled equipment cleaning and sanitation activities in accordance with established procedures.  Execute product-to-product cleanings and line clearances to ensure compliance with GMP and quality requirements.  Disassemble and reassemble equipment components required for cleaning activities.  Verify equipment cleanliness prior to startup and production release.  Maintain cleaning documentation and records as required.  Identify and escalate cleaning or sanitation issues that may impact product quality or operational performance.  Support sanitation verification and inspection activities when required.  Maintain inspection-ready equipment and work areas at all times.  Inline Packaging Line Leadership  As the designated Line Leader for inline packaging operations, the Dumolin Operator is responsible for:  Coordinating daily activities of operators assigned to the packaging line.  Providing direction and guidance to line personnel to ensure efficient workflow.  Monitoring line performance, staffing effectiveness, quality performance, and productivity.  Serving as the primary point of contact between line personnel and supervisory staff.  Coordinating startup, shutdown, changeover, and recovery activities.  Monitoring material flow and ensuring packaging components are available when required.  Escalating production, quality, safety, staffing, and equipment concerns to leadership.  Supporting training and development of packaging personnel.  Promoting teamwork, accountability, and operational discipline.  Driving execution of production schedules while maintaining quality and safety standards.  Maintaining ownership of overall line performance during assigned operations.  Equipment Troubleshooting and Continuous Improvement  Troubleshoot routine equipment issues and operational interruptions.  Identify recurring downtime events and communicate opportunities for improvement.  Assist Maintenance and Engineering teams with troubleshooting and equipment optimization efforts.  Support equipment reliability and performance improvement initiatives.  Participate in root cause investigations and corrective action implementation.  Contribute ideas to improve safety, quality, equipment performance, and productivity.  Support Lean Manufacturing, TPM, and Operational Excellence initiatives.  Promote best practices related to equipment operation and line performance.  Safety Responsibilities  Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.  Adhere to all machine guarding, lockout/tagout, and equipment safety requirements.  Utilize required personal protective equipment (PPE).  Identify and report unsafe conditions, near misses, and safety concerns.  Participate in safety meetings, training, and continuous improvement activities.  Maintain a safe and organized work environment.  Promote a culture of safety ownership and accountability among team members.  Stop work and escalate concerns when unsafe conditions exist.  Cross-Functional Collaboration  Work closely with Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, Warehouse, and Operations teams to ensure efficient production execution.  Support equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and operational improvement activities.  Participate in startup activities following maintenance events and equipment modifications.  Assist with investigations involving quality, downtime, production losses, and equipment performance.  Provide operational expertise during improvement projects and equipment enhancements.  Support implementation of new equipment procedures, standards, and initiatives.  Performance Expectations  Success in this role will be measured by:  Safe operation of the Dumolin packaging system and associated equipment.  Achievement of quality, productivity, and efficiency targets.  Effective execution of equipment cleanings and changeovers.  Reduction of downtime and startup losses.  Equipment uptime and OEE performance.  Leadership and coordination of inline packaging operations.  Compliance with GMP, safety, and quality requirements.  Accuracy of production and cleaning documentation.  Contribution to continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.  Positive impact on line performance, team effectiveness, and business continuity.    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS  High School Diploma or GED required.  Technical certification, manufacturing training, or relevant vocational education preferred.  Minimum 3–5 years of manufacturing, packaging, or equipment operation experience.  Experience operating automated packaging equipment preferred.  Experience performing equipment changeovers and production equipment cleanings required.  Previous lead operator or line leadership experience preferred.  Experience in GMP-regulated manufacturing environments preferred.    WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS   Manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, temperature variations, and moving equipment.   Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling.   Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.   Ability to wear required PPE and GMP-compliant attire.  We are proud to
