Position Summary:  

The Medication Reconciliation Technician provides distributive pharmacy services, assistance and support for the registered pharmacist. Responsible for collecting accurate home medications lists for all inpatients. 

  • Refills and maintains automated dispensing systems 

  • Fills medication carts on a daily basis 

  • Prepares orders and maintains inventory for the pharmacy department. 

  • Repackages bulk medications 

  • Collects accurate home medications lists for all inpatients 

  • Deliver medication to the proper patient care areas in an accurate and timely manner and within established guidelines 

 

What we are looking for:  

  • High school diploma or equivalent required 

  • Must be registered with the State Board of Pharmacy, upon hire or within 90 days of employment in position per state guidelines or be actively enrolled in a College of Pharmacy 

  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred 

  • Three years hospital or retail pharmacy experience preferred 

  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.  

  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
