How you’ll contributeÂ
A Scheduler/Front Office Registration who excels in this role:
Ensures all necessary demographic, billing, and clinical information is obtained and entered in the registration system with timeliness and accuracy.
Distributes and explains all forms, documents, and educational handouts to patients or family members.
Meets with patients or patient’s caregiver before admission to exchange necessary information and documentation.Â
Provides explanation of process and addresses concerns and questions.
Determines and accepts required payments, including copays, coinsurance and deductibles.
Performs pre-registration and all other Business Office processes, as assigned.
Back-up other positions, as needed.

What we're looking forÂ
Scheduler/Front Office Registration:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent Required or at least three years of directly related experience may be substituted for the required education.
Required Skills: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Prior scheduling experience in a healthcare environment is strongly preferred. Medical terminology, billing, and/or collection experience preferred.Â
Computer experience required

Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Ability to prioritize work based upon patient/department needs.
Ability to operate standard office equipment, including but not limited to, computer, copier, telephone, fax, scanner.
