Job Objective:   

Evaluate and monitor the quality level of products and processes to assure that they are conforming to specified requirements.  Provide training to manufacturing and support staff in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action techniques.  Assure that QA activities are in alignment with business goals and objectives.

Essential Job Functions: 

  • Quality Support for the Plant in driving:

    • External - Customer Complaint: Lead investigation, Containment, Disposition of defective product,

    • RCCA, verify effectiveness of action taken.

    • Support Internal Non Conformances (NCM) process; including Material Review Board (MRB);

    • Drive and support Root Cause & Corrective Actions (RCCA);

    • Monitoring Cost of Poor Quality for value streams;

    • Quality issues during manufacturing process, calibration, inspection and testing;

    • Maintain Control Plans; Support on FMEA’s

    • Quality Representative for New Product Introductions as assigned.

    • Validate Customer specific requirements.

  • Report performance and status of Quality metrics, including RCCM at Tier level boards.

  • Identify, and coordinate actions to improve quality metrics;

  • Support on any quality requirement from the organization, including training activities;

  • Participate and support improvement projects as assigned;

  • Notify any risk on defective product that could generate complaints.

  • Additional functions as assigned or requested.

Job Qualifications: 

Minimum Required: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or at least 5 years’ experience in the quality discipline.

  • Working knowledge of Six Sigma analysis tools, root cause analysis techniques, process flow diagrams, Measurement System Analysis, Statistical Process Control, FMEA’s and Control Plans. 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Minitab and Access.

  • Experience as internal Auditor.

  • Six Sigma Experience.

  • Working knowledge of the ISO’s Standards (ISO9001, ISO/TS 16949 and associated Core Tools).

Desired:

  • Knowledge of Oracle or equivalent

  • Manufacturing Requirements Planning systems software.

  • Six Sigma Black Belts, Certified Internal Auditor.

  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer. 

  • Experience with ISO 13485 or FDA Quality System Regulations.

  • Supervisory experience.

  • AIAG Certified Internal Auditor.

  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer.
