The Customer Associate supports customer service activities as part of the Plant Supply Chain Team, helping the Somersworth facilities achieve operational and organizational goals. This role follows established processes, monitors performance, provides guidance, and coordinates with customers, management, and Supply Chain personnel across the organization. Strong communication, coordination, and technical skills are essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor customer orders, fulfillment, customer portals/scorecards, bulletins, inquiries, and EDI errors to ensure timely processing, customer satisfaction, and performance goals are met.

  • Use SAP to review customer orderbooks, ensure sufficient inventory for daily/weekly truck requirements, optimize truckload capacity, and monitor ASNs to support customer satisfaction and scorecard performance.

  • Monitor and report required KPIs, maintain and update departmental SOPs, and ensure all required training is completed and properly documented. 

  • Administer the annual MMOG process, ensure compliance, participate in new/change project meetings, complete assigned actions, and support Sales with customer requests.

  • Support AP/AR by reviewing invoices, freight debits, miscellaneous charges, part obsolescence, and other Finance and Sales needs as required.

  • Ensure purchasing activities follow procurement policies and ethical supplier practices, obtain required approvals, and report any deviations to Purchasing or Compliance. 

  • Support Customer Service personnel when out of office or when assistance is required. 

Qualifications

  • High School diploma required. Associate’s degree or experience preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced Microsoft office skills required
  • Logistics experience preferred
  • Project experience preferred
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
