About the Role
Anvil is seeking a hands-on Project Engineer to support the development and execution of capital projects in a fast-paced startup environment. You will own coordination across engineering packages, vendor management, procurement, working directly with EPCs, equipment vendors, contractors, and internal leadership to keep projects on track. What You'll Do
Organize and maintain engineering documents, vendor packages, and technical deliverables
Support scope definition, budget tracking, and schedule updates
Coordinate RFQs, bid analysis, vendor clarifications, and procurement follow-up
Review vendor calculations and submittals against project requirements
Research and evaluate used equipment alternatives where value engineering opportunities exist
Coordinate logistics, shipping, storage, delivery sequencing, and site receipt of equipment
Support contractor coordination and project execution planning
Liaise with EPC firms, equipment vendors, engineers, and other external partners
Support permitting and utilities coordination as needed
Maintain trackers, action logs, decision logs, and project documentation
Experience
5–10+ years in capital projects, project engineering, project management, and / or construction management
Experience working with or alongside EPC/EPCM firms, on owner-side teams, and / or in industrial/process plant environments
Track record as an essential contributor across multiple projects from development through execution
Skills & Attributes
Extremely organized, with strong follow-through on schedules, action logs, vendor packages, and documentation
Strong communicator who can work across engineering, procurement, vendors, contractors, and leadership
Knows how to drive information, decisions, and follow-up from others to keep work moving
Fast-thinking and capable of prioritizing under pressure
Comfortable on small teams where flexibility and ownership are required
Technical Background
Vendor package management, procurement, and contractor coordination
Experience in first-of-a-kind, brownfield, greenfield, and / or startup project environments
Background in material handling, bulk solids, comminution, screening, conveying, or plant systems strongly preferred
Preferred Education
Degrees in Mechanical, Mining, Civil, or Industrial Engineering, or Construction Management. Relevant experience is weighted heavily.
