Job Summary

This is a full-time temporary role, 40 hours / week.

The MGH Institute of Health Professions seeks a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Temporary Web Content Editor to support updates and refinements across the Institute’s website. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with content management systems—particularly Drupal—and a keen eye for accuracy, accessibility, and brand consistency.
This position plays a critical role in improving the user experience, ensuring content is current, well-structured, and aligned with institutional voice and visual standards.


 

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities

  • Update and edit existing website pages in Drupal CMS, including text, images, and links in support of a content migration / reorganization project.
  • Ensure content adheres to brand, accessibility (WCAG), and SEO best practices.
  • Collaborate with web services team to publish approved content.
  • Review and correct formatting issues, broken links, and outdated materials.
  • Track and document content changes for internal reference.
  • Assist with digital asset organization (images, PDFs, video links).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, digital media, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience working with a CMS, ideally Drupal 9/10.
  • Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail and style consistency.
  • Familiarity with HTML basics, SEO principles, and web accessibility standards.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple deadlines, and communicate effectively.
  • Access to a computer and the internet.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in higher education or healthcare settings.
  • Basic image editing (Canva, Photoshop) and document optimization for web.
  • Understanding of UX/UI and content hierarchy principles.
