Join us!     About the Role     Lead, Operations Excellence & Training The Operations Excellence & Training Lead is responsible for strengthening operational discipline, workforce capability, and procedural integrity across the plant. This role combines frontline operational support with ownership of training systems, documentation, and readiness programs to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable plant performance. The position plays a key role in supporting daily operations, turnaround (TA) planning, and leadership continuity. .   Responsibilities   1. Training & Competency Development Lead plant training programs, including onboarding, qualification, and continuous skills development Develop and maintain structured training materials and competency frameworks Ensure alignment between procedures, training content, and field execution Track and report training compliance and effectiveness   2. Documentation & Procedure Management Own and continuously improve plant procedures, work instructions, and documentation systems Lead periodic reviews and updates of operating procedures to reflect current best practices Improve document control structure, including folder architecture, accessibility, and version control (leveraging proposed improvements) Ensure field usability of procedures (clarity, accuracy, and operator-friendly format)   3. Operational Readiness & Red Tag Discipline Lead unit red tag (LOTO) drills, ensuring operational readiness and compliance Develop, document, and standardize red tag processes and training Audit execution quality and drive continuous improvement in isolation practices Maintain documentation and records for compliance and learning   4. Daily Operations Support Assist Operations team in day-to-day plant activities to ensure safe and efficient execution Provide troubleshooting support and reinforce adherence to procedures and standards Act as a bridge between operations, maintenance, and engineering   5. Turnaround (TA) & Outage Support Support TA planning, including scope development, procedure readiness, and workforce preparation Assist in maintenance outage coordination and execution readiness Ensure lessons learned are captured and embedded into future planning   6. Leadership Backfill & Continuity Backfill frontline leadership roles Provide leadership during critical operations, outages, or staffing gaps Reinforce a culture of accountability, safety, and operational excellence   Key Competencies Operational discipline & safety leadership Training and knowledge transfer Process improvement & systems thinking Communication and frontline engagement Planning & execution excellence   Requirements 15+ years of plant operations experience (refining, petrochemical, or similar process industry) Strong understanding of operating procedures, LOTO/red tag systems, and safety standards Experience in training development and competency systems preferred Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence frontline teams Strong organizational and documentation management skills Leadership capability with ability to step into supervisory roles when required Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future                   This position is open to candidates authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer.
