Software Engineering Co-Op - AI Integration

The Software Engineering Co-op will provide hands-on experience to design, build, and maintain an AI-powered addition to a widely used EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) testing software package. Additionally you will:

• Research and evaluate potential AI integration approaches and third-party AI providers.
• Collaborate with the software engineering team to define feasible AI use cases within the application.
• Design and implement AI integration into an existing production application.
• Write technical documentation explaining the design, usage, and limitations of the AI integration.
• Support the final integrated solution alongside full-time software engineers.

Preferred concentration: Software Engineering

Knowledge, Skills, and Competency Requirements: Software skills in development in LabVIEW; understanding of large language models (LLMs); understanding of test and measurement hardware.

Prior Experience: coursework, projects, internship experience or personal experience involving machine learning, AI, or data-driven software sys; exposure to RAG concept; exposure to data preprocessing, text handling, or working with unstructured data; exposure to GPU-accelerated hardware on NVIDIA platforms a plus.

Schedule: Onsite - Monday-Friday, normal business hours.

Salary Range:

The pay rate for this position generally ranges between $25.00 - $32.00 per hour. Actual pay rate will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
