Are you energetic, competitive, and customer-focused? We are seeking a full-time Customer Service / Inside Sales Representative to join our residential fuel delivery team in Souderton, PA.
In this role, you will be the first point of contact for local homeowners looking for dependable home heating oil and propane solutions. Your primary goal is to provide exceptional service to our existing customers while actively converting inbound pricing inquiries into new, loyal fuel accounts. There is no HVAC or equipment sales required—this position focuses strictly on residential fuel accounts, deliveries, and payment programs.
Core Responsibilities
- Convert Price Callers:Â Turn incoming phone calls and web inquiries from local homeowners into new, active fuel accounts
- Onboard New Customers:Â Set up customer profiles, explain delivery options, check credit qualifications, and collect initial tank information
- Promote Fuel Programs:Â Educate homeowners on the benefits of automatic delivery, price protection caps, and budget billing payment plans
- Manage Inbound Support:Â Efficiently answer high-volume phone calls regarding fuel pricing, account balances, and payment processing
- Coordinate Deliveries:Â Work closely with routing and dispatch teams to prioritize emergency residential fill-ups and prevent tank run-outs, especially during peak winter months
General & Administrative
- Proficient in addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Ability to calculate percentages and read basic numerical reports
- Comfortable working with decimals, fractions, and basic proportions
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 1–3 years of experience in high-volume customer service, retail, or phone-based sales. Experience in residential utilities, propane, or fuel delivery is highly preferred but not required
- Tech-Savvy:Â Comfortable learning industry-specific routing and billing software (e.g., Cargas, Evolve)
- Communication:Â Exceptional phone presence with the ability to explain fuel pricing clearly and close sales efficiently
- Resilience:Â Ability to maintain a calm, professional, and empathetic demeanor during peak winter seasons and urgent customer situations
