Job DetailsJob Location: CYFS Offices - ChOICE Academy - Barre, VT 05641Salary Range: $25.01 - $26.03 HourlyJob Shift: AnyJob Category: Case ManagementBehavioral Consultant WCMHS is seeking a Behavior Consultant who plays a key role in helping children and youth with significant emotional and behavioral challenges build skills for success at home, in school, and in the community. Working under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or Senior Clinical staff, this role applies the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to assess needs, develop individualized behavior plans, and guide teams in effective, compassionate implementation. Through collaboration with families, educators, and mental health professionals, the Behavior Specialist helps translate evidence-based practices into meaningful, real-world outcomes for young people. Summary of Duties Conduct and direct behavioral assessments for referred children and youth under the supervision of a BCBA or Senior Clinical staff. Develop, implement, monitor, and revise individualized behavior support plans. Manage or co-manage the behavioral planning components for up to 10 assigned cases. Train and supervise staff in the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of behavior plans. Provide ongoing consultation to WCMHS case managers and interdisciplinary team members. Provide consultation and guidance to families as directed. Participate in educational and clinical teams across school, community, and mental health settings Compensation and Benefits WCMHS offers a comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance package. The starting pay range for this position is $25.01 - $26.03 per hour.      QualificationsSummary of Qualifications A master’s degree with significant course work and/or significant experience working in an ABA based program is required.  A minimum of three years’ field experience is preferred.   OR Enrollment in a graduate level program leading to completion of the Behavior Analyst Certification Board’s coursework requirements for BCBA eligibility is required.  Training in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis and experience working with children and youth who present serious emotional and behavioral challenges is required. Experience working in school settings is desirable.  Experience working with children and youth who present serious emotional and behavioral challenges and/or is required. Frequent transportation of clients in one's own vehicle. This role requires some lifting up to 50lbs and the ability to apply restraints to clients within agency training and guidance. Perform additional duties as assigned to support program and client needs.
