This hands-on leadership role is ideal for those with experience in heavy equipment, industrial operations, scrap, or recycling environments.  This position is designed to support our long-term talent strategy by building bench strength and offering continued growth opportunities. About the Role:

• Support daily facility operations and assist the Manager with compliance, safety, and production goals.
• Analyze operational data to resolve quality or production issues.
• Lead and develop training programs for operational staff.
• Oversee monthly operational budgets and help manage equipment/parts inventory.
• Serve as backup to Manager when needed.
• Ensure product standards meet steel mill requirements and customer expectations.
• Engage with commercial and peddler customers to support business growth.

About You:

• Previous experience working in metal recycling, preferred. 
• 3–5 years of supervisory experience in industrial, recycling, or heavy equipment environments.
• High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems is a plus.
• Strong communication and leadership skills; willingness to work outdoors in all weather.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Preferred Experience: Background in non-ferrous (NF) and ferrous metals, scrap, shredders, supervisory or leadership roles, or operations/team lead/manager positions
