DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES
This position may be required to perform additional tasks, responsibilities, or duties as assigned:
- Oversee all aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory management, and shipping processes.
- Develop and implement inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels and reduce costs, including cycle counts and reconciliation.
- Analyze workflows and implement continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) to enhance operational efficiency and productivity.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting regular safety audits and training sessions for staff.
- Prepare and manage budgets for warehouse operations, forecasting requirements and scheduling expenditures to meet financial objectives.
- Maintain effective communication with cross-functional teams, including procurement, logistics, and customer service, to streamline operations and enhance service delivery.
- Monitor performance metrics and prepare reports on warehouse operations, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational systems, processes, and policies for greater productivity and efficiency.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in warehouse operations management or a related field, with a proven track record of success.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.
- Have a good understanding of Inventory management system and shipping logistics systems.
- Knowledge of warehouse procedures and equipment
- Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
