Etch Process Tech III

 

Full Time

 

The primary responsibility of this position is to operate precision etching equipment, and meet production goals on a consistent basis. Team members in this position must also adhere to Environmental, Health and Safety Standards.

Your role and responsibilities:

  • Operate chemical etching equipment in accordance with operating procedures.
  • Maintain compliance with all Environmental, Health & Safety Standards.
  • Work directly with Engineering Department to develop new operating procedures to support introduction of new product lines to the production floor.
  • Participate in end of shift turnovers with ability to effectively communicate.
  • Must operate equipment (for example, pumps, GLV’s, filter presses, pan filters, reactors, valves, pH probes, ovens, forklifts, etc.) independently after initial training is complete.
  • Responsible for understanding basic chemical reactions and properties of chemicals within the work area.
  • Responsible for handling and processing Hazardous Waste as required within the work area.
  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings.
  • Operate precision inspection equipment, and record results.
  • At times may be required to wear hearing protection, and half-mask respirator, and other forms of PPE.
  • Support other production areas and departments as needed to meet company-wide goals.

What is required for this role:

  • HS Diploma or equivalent.
  • 5+ years experience in advanced chemical or machine operator roles.
  • Willingness to take on the role of production lead.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate workflow with different production areas.
  • Ability to process and follow verbal directions and written instructions.
  • Frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; smell.
  • Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • May be assigned shifts that include evening, nights and/or weekend days.
  • Able to successfully complete a background check, and pre-employment drug screen.
