Cat-i Glass is looking for CNC Technician on 1st and 2nd shift. The CNC Technician is responsible for programming, operating, and setting up the vertical CNC mill. Must be able to perform all tasks in safe and responsible manner.   Essential Job Functions: Responsible for writing programs in Fusion/Icam to accomplish various machining operations as per the required sequence and dimensions of the job Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, and depth and angel of cut, or enters commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media; Facilitate work order paper flow in accordance with company standards Inspection of parts is required Conduct CNC and Robot training as assigned Must have tooling and insert change experience Must be able to read blueprints, drawings, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations and setup requirements. Must have experience with measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, optical comparators. Experience with vertical measuring machines a plus. Make tool offsets Call up and modify existing and new programs Adjust work coordinates Prepare tools and fixturing Machine Tending as  needed Must be able to report to work as scheduled and on time Other duties as assigned   Skills and/or Competencies: Mastercam, G-code and AutoCAD experience preferred A minimum of 4 Years’ experience setting up CNC machining centers    Education/Experience: Must have at least 5 years of experience programming in MasterCAM for vertical milling machines High school diploma or equivalent preferred   Physical Demands and Working Environment: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
