We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Property Accountant in the real estate industry. As a Property Accountant, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial records and reporting for our various properties. You will play a vital role in monitoring and analyzing financial data, preparing budgets, and providing financial advice to management. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Asset Managers and Property Managers to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting for multiple properties, including general ledger entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.
Conduct bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow
Review vendor invoices and ensure timely payment.
Analyze and interpret financial data to provide insights and recommendations to management.
Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes for each property
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and reporting requirements
Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits
Assist in the preparation of tax returns for properties

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
Proven experience in property accounting or real estate finance
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
Experience using Real Page is preferred but not required
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to spot errors or discrepancies
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
