Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: Clinical Care & Health Support Provide direct nursing care, including monitoring vital signs, assessing health status, and responding to medical concerns. Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and in compliance with regulatory standards. Maintain accurate documentation of all nursing care, treatments, and medication administration in medical records. Assist in the development and implementation of person-centered care plans. Provide first aid and emergency care when needed; coordinate care with physicians and other healthcare professionals. Individual Support & Advocacy Support individuals with IDD in achieving the highest possible level of independence and quality of life. Educate individuals, families, and staff on health-related topics, including hygiene, nutrition, and preventive care. Advocate for the rights and dignity of each individual, ensuring all care is respectful and culturally sensitive. Team Collaboration & Compliance Work collaboratively with direct support professionals, program managers, and interdisciplinary team members. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, facility policies, and all applicable healthcare standards. Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and ongoing professional development. QualificationsEducation, Certifications & Experience Requirements Current, valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Georgia CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain upon hire). Supervisory Responsibilities None Work Environment & Physical Demands Moderate noise level typical of office or program setting. Typical physical requirements including moving personal belongings, light equipment, materials to and from meeting locations, etc. Expected to be on call 24/7 unless other arrangements are made ahead of time. Standard office hours are expected, but the role will require visits to community homes, attendance at evening/weekend team meetings, and participation in an on-call rotation.
