The Human Resources Manager will lead and help direct the routine functions of the HR department, support one or more business units with the administrative and Human Resources processes to ensure compliance with all company rules, local, state and federal employment laws.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Develops, implements, and enforces HR policies and procedures.
  • Collaborates with senior management on strategic initiatives and organizational planning.
  • Manages employee relations and resolves any workplace issues.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with employees at all levels.
  • Manages the delivery of new and existing programs to meet business needs.
  • Oversees and supports HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, employee separations, and leaves of absences.

Other Functions:

  • Ensures compliance with labor laws and regulations, including wage and hour, discrimination, and employee benefits regulations.
  • Leads and facilitates training and development programs for employees.
  • Maintains HR records and prepares reports as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

The job makes hiring and promotion decisions.

The job provides discipline and performance counseling.

The job provides advice to peers that they must consider carefully before making a decision.

The job provides information to Supervisors/Management that they use in making a decision.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Professional in HR (PHR) certification.
  • 3 years of HR experience in Manufacturing, Environmental, or related field.
  • 3 years of experience in Employee Relations.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production.
  • Knowledge of administrative and office procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, stenography and transcription, designing forms, and workplace terminology.
  • Knowledge of HR policies and practices, employment laws, and compensation and benefits programs.
  • Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
  • Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making.
  • The ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.
  • The ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Preferred Qualifications:

Senior Professional in HR (SPHR) certification preferred.


Posted pay ranges are provided in accordance with California pay transparency requirements and reflect the Company's current anticipated compensation for the position at the time of posting. Compensation ranges are periodically reviewed and may be revised based on business needs, market conditions, internal equity, budgetary considerations, and other legitimate business factors.
