Checking & Straightening Trainee

SCHEDULE: DAY SHIFT, MONDAY-FRIDAY; POSSIBLE SATURDAY OVERTIME.

$1,200 SIGN-ON RETENTION BONUS

JOB DUTIES CHECKING AND STRAIGHTENING:

• Acceptable safe work habits, attendance, and follow instructions well.
• Ability to grasp and learn all safety rules and basic Check and Straightening instructions.
• Learn and improve understanding of Check and Straightening process and tool use.
• Demonstrate understanding of Check and Straightening process and tool use.
• Forklift certification.
• Crane and rigging certification

REQUIREMENTS:

• Adhere to all requirements stated in Astro’s Safety Policies and Procedures
• Ability to interact and work in a “team environment.”
• Checking and straightening experience (min. 1+ yrs.) a plus or willingness to learn straightening trade skills.
• Previous experience with industrial, manufacturing and general labor a plus.
• Flexibility and willingness to work additional hours as necessary, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to comprehend & communicate effectively in English (Spanish is a plus).
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent.
• Must be 21 and over.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and capable of handling physical demands.
• Able to stand for 8-10 Hours.
• Exposure to excessive noise, extreme temperature, and chemicals.
