Role Summary Boswell is seeking a Certified Engineer Diver to join its Underwater Structural and Civil Engineering team, supporting inspections and assessments of marine structures and bridge substructures. This role involves performing underwater condition surveys, evaluating structural integrity, and preparing detailed reports with repair recommendations. The position combines hands-on fieldwork (diving operations across NJ/NY sites) with office-based design and documentation, while also providing opportunities to mentor junior staff and contribute to engineering solutions for complex waterfront infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities Perform condition surveys and structural assessments of marine facilities, waterfront structures, and water-spanning bridge substructure Writing reports of findings with recommendations for correcting deficiencies including the preparation of repair designs Adhere to internal standards, policies and procedures Oversee and keep train/ mentor designers and design engineers Qualifications & Skills 4-year Engineering Degree from an accredited university (Civil or Structural Engineering preferred) Certified graduate of a commercial dive school Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly preferred but not required ADCI surface-supplied air diver certification Minimum of 3+ years of documented experience performing condition surveys and structural assessments of marine facilities and water-spanning bridge substructures AutoCAD and/ or AutoCAD Civil 3D design experience is required Compensation, Benefits & Growth We recognize that the best way to provide services of the highest quality is by investing in our employees. Actual compensation will vary based on specific relevant experience, education, certifications, and other compensable factors.
